Hut 8 Secures $1.07 Billion Credit Line to Fund Its Infrastructure Expansion

By CANDY News Desk · 2026-09-30 · News

MIAMI, Sept. 30 (CandyPulse) — Hut 8 has lined up more than a billion dollars of borrowing power as it pushes deeper into energy and computing infrastructure. The company said it has secured a $1.07 billion senior secured revolving credit facility, a flexible credit line it can draw on as its projects grow.

Key takeaways

What Hut 8 got

A revolving credit facility works a bit like a company credit card with a very high limit. Hut 8 can borrow, repay and borrow again up to $1.07 billion whenever it needs to, rather than taking out one lump-sum loan.

According to its SEC filing, the facility:

"Senior secured" means lenders have first claim on specific assets, which usually makes the borrowing cheaper.

Why it matters

Hut 8 began as a bitcoin miner but has been expanding into data centers and power infrastructure, including for AI computing. Those projects need a lot of money up front, long before they produce income.

The company said the facility strengthens its parent-level liquidity, letting it fund projects during the construction phase and then arrange longer-term financing once sites are running and less risky. It also supports Hut 8's goal of an investment-grade credit profile.

What's next

Watch for how quickly Hut 8 draws on the line and which projects it funds first. A deal of this size, led by a major bank, is also a sign of how seriously traditional lenders now take crypto-linked infrastructure companies.
