Dormant Wallet Linked to $200M Mixin Hack Reawakens to Move ETH

A wallet associated with the $200 million Mixin Network hack is active again, transferring ETH after being idle for over two years.

In a surprising turn of events, a wallet connected to the notorious $200 million hack of Mixin Network has resurfaced after more than two years of inactivity. Recent on-chain data reveals that the hacker has not only stirred from dormancy but has also engaged in transactions involving illicit funds.

Specifically, the wallet has deposited a portion of these stolen assets into Tornado Cash, a platform notorious for its privacy-enhancing features. Subsequently, the hacker sold a quantity of Ethereum (ETH), further illustrating the ongoing challenges in tracking cryptocurrency thefts.
